Fourteen undertrials escape taking advantage of an open gate during a Ganesh Chaturthi function.
Fourteen undertrials escaped from a Margao judicial lock up taking advantage of an open gate during a Ganesh Chaturthi function, police said on Sunday.
The incident occurred last night when the undertrials were brought to the main lobby to participate in the Ganesh Chaturthi prayers, they said.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, 14 of the 60 undertrials lodged in the lock-up fled.
Police said of the 14 undertrials, three had been charged with murder, two with robbery, one with dacoity and others with petty crimes.
Police are combing the entire South Goa district and the borders have been sealed to nab the undertrials.
