17 children hospitalised after food poisoning in J&K

As many as 17 school children of Government Higher Secondary School at Jogi had been admitted in a hospital when they complained of stomach ache after eating some sweets at a school function, police said on Saturday.

The children were brought to the hospital by their parents last night after they complained of stomach ache and vomiting sensations, the sources said.

The condition of these children was stated to be stable, they said.

In a separate incident, eight students and two teachers suffered minor injuries when terrace wall of Jagriti Mission High School in New Plots area of the city collapsed here yesterday, they said.

The injured were taken to different hospitals in the city where the condition of one of the student, Muskaan, was stated to be serious, the sources said, adding the other students have been discharged after treatment.
