17 people injured in J&K grenade attack

The victims were rushed to a nearby hospital and the condition of five of them is serious.

At least 17 people were injured, five of them seriously, in a grenade blast carried out by terrorists at a crowded bus stand in famous hill resort of Pahalgam in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The terrorists hurled the grenade at the bus stand, 100 kms from in south Kashmir, injuring 17 people. The victims were rushed to a nearby hospital and the condition of five of them is serious, official sources said.

It was not known whether the injured persons included some tourists, they said.
