Three months after the city traffic police launched project ‘Third-Eye’ to capture the road violators on camera using mobile cameras, 2,000 persons so far have been fined.

“The Third Eye project has been a huge success in nabbing the offenders,” said a senior traffic police official. “We are getting good response from our constables who use the camera mobile handsets to book violators after clicking their pictures which is an authentic proof. All challans are sent to the official address provided by the offender after the pictures have been verified,” added the officer. HTC

Robbers decamp with valuables

Gurgaon: The Gurgaon police have registered two cases of burglaries on Tuesday.
The first case was registered in DLF Phase 2 police station where four domestic helps allegedly got away with jewellery worth R3 lakh from a house in Heritage City. A case has been registered against all the accused who are still at large.
In the second incident, valuables worth thousands of rupees was stolen from a temple in Palam vihar area. The temple priest informed the police on Tuesday morning. A case has been registered against unknown person.
