Two teenage girls of SOS Children’s Villages of India in Faridabad have gone missing under mysterious circumstances. The police have registered a case in this connection and launched a hunt for them.

The incident occurred in the intervening night of July 2 and 3 when two 14-year-old girls went missing from the SOS premises in the Greenfield area under Surajkund police station.

Kripa Shanker Dubey incharge of SOS Children’s Villages of India, Greenfield Faridabad said, `These girls were living in the village since 2007 referred from Child Welfare committe Banaras and Kanpur’.

‘It seems the girls have gone with friends but we have lodged complaint with Greenfield police, Surajkund’.

It is still not clear whether the teenage girls left the shelter on their own or were kidnapped.

The villages provide shelter to children, especially ones who are victims of natural disasters. SOS Children’s Villages of India have been in Faridabad since 1963.
