2 Jaish militants killed in Sopore encounter
Two Jaish-e-Mohammad militants were killed and an Army jawan injured in an overnight encounter with security forces in Sopore, police said.

The gunbattle broke out at Lalid-Sopore during search operation, 60 kms from Srinagar, last evening. An army jawan was also injured in the gunbattle that was continuing when last reports came in, they said.
Security forces had on Monday killed four militants, believed to be foreigners, in the dense Hamam-Nardagan forests in Rafiabad, 65 kms from Srinagar. An army jawan was injured in the gunbattle.
Identity of the slain militants and their group affiliation was being ascertained. Four AK 47 rifles, a UBGL (under barrel grenade launcher) and other arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants.
