The duo, Abdullah Hatem Kamel Al Ali (23) and Ahmed Mohammad Hasan Aleem (27) were arrested on April 30 while selling cocaine in front of a cafe in Indira Nagar and 230 grams of cocaine worth Rs 15 lakh, four mobile phones, their passports, a motorcycle and Rs 4,000 cash were seized from them, a CCB statement said.
A Nigerian called Papa Jo, a known cocaine peddler along with his associate Jimmy, used to smuggle cocaine into Bangalore and supply it to the two accused who sold it in front of public places frequented by youth such as cafes restaurants and pubs, the statement said.
Both Papa Jo and Jimmy are absconding, it said, adding the former has been nabbed three times for illegal sale of cocaine.
Aleem, whose visa expired on September 7, 2010, was residing in the city without renewing his visa, thus committing an offence under the Passport Act, it said.
Ali, while pursuing an engineering course, joined Papa in his illegal trade, the statement added.
