Noida Police on Friday arrested two more persons in connection with the abduction and murder of a student of Amity School for ransom.
The arrested persons were identified as Tilak Dhari and Gyanesh Kumar who had allegedly driven the cars used for transporting the body for dumping.
The two cars used by them were also recovered, police said.
On Thursday, Noida Police had arrested three persons in connection with the case who had confessed to have kidnapped Amity student Rohit Singh for a ransom of Rs 1 crore and later killed him when they found that police has traced their location and they will be caught.
The arrested persons told the police that they had planned to kill the Rohit after getting the ransom but as Noida Police was zeroing in they preferred to kill the student and forget about ransom, police said.
They thought the body of the student will be carried by the water of the stream and by the time it could be recovered it will not be recognizable, according to the police. However, their plan failed as Aligarh Police found the body from a canal on March 24.
Rohit was kidnapped on March 20 and the next day his parents had received a ransom call.
