A 15-year-old girl was gang-raped by three youths, including an acquaintance, at Ragigudda in Bengaluru, police said on Thursday.
On a complaint from the girl, the trio, between the ages of 19 to 23, were arrested within hours of the incident on Wednesday, additional commissioner of Police CH Pratap Reddy said.
The incident came to light after the victim lodged a complaint in JP Nagar police station alleging she was taken away by an acquainted person and two of his associates to an under-construction building, and sexually abused and gang-raped her, he said.
The incident took place between 6:30-8pm on Wednesday, he added.
Reddy said the police is also probing the possibility of love angle as one of the culprits was acquainted to her.
The accused have been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, he added.
