Panic gripped north Kashmir’s Sopore town on Thursday when suspected militants hurled a grenade at security forces, injuring three CRPF personnel.
According to the police, unknown militants tossed a grenade at CRPF 179 BN stationed in Hotel Plaza near Bus Stand Sopore.
“Three CRPF personnel received splinter injuries in the attack. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment,” police spokesman said.
The attack rattled the town with nearby shopkeepers and vehicles running for cover. More security personnel were dispatched to the site to investigate the attack.
