Three people were killed and 33 injured as a tourist bus they were travelling in overturned at Bathu Bridge near Ranital in Kangra Kangra around 11am on Wednesday.
Deputy commissioner, Kangra, KR Bharti told that victims were on pilgrimage and were going to Jawalamukhi temple after paying obeisance at Brajeshwari temple in Kangra town.
"Rescue teams were rushed to the spot soon after the news of accident was received," said Bharti.
Meanwhile, deceased have been identified as driver of the bus, Satwant Verma, Vijay Kumar and Ramadhar of Barabanki district in Uttar Pradesh. Satwant and Vijay died on the spot while Ramadhar scummed to the injuries on way to hospital.
"Injured have been admitted to the Dr Rajender Prasad Medical College and Hospital Tanda at Kangra," told Bharti.
He told that according to the injured the driver lost control over vehicle while trying to save a stray dog. "However, the exact cause is yet to be ascertained," he said.
