THREE PERSONS were killed when their jeep collided with a tree on the Bhopal-Parvalia road early Sunday morning. According to information, the three men were bringing a transformer from Guna to Bhopal by a jeep (MP 08 MH 6862).
When they reached village Badar Khan near Parvalia at about 7 am, the jeep’s driver fell asleep momentarily and lost control of the vehicle.
The jeep was at a high speed and it swayed to one side of the road and collided into a tree. The vehicle turned turtle and two of the deceased, Keshav Srivastava and Deepak Rao, both residents of Guna, were trapped inside it.
Passers-by informed the police highway mobile and it rushed to the spot. Though the police extricated the two men from inside the jeep, the two died by then.
The jeep’s driver, Jitendra (27), was also critically injured but he was still alive and was rushed to the Hamidia Hospital for treatment. He too succumbed to his wounds during treatment later. Police sent the bodies for post mortem and families were informed at Guna.
