3 more die of dengue, toll reaches 48 in Delhi
The Capital registered 88 fresh cases of dengue in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of cases to 1,908.
Dengue claimed three more victims in the Capital, taking the toll 48 even as 88 fresh cases of the viral were registered in various hospitals of the city.
While Gullu (23) of Sangam Vihar area of South Delhi died at AIIMS, Gopichand (68) of Shahdara and Rajni Kumari (15) of Ghaziabad died at Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital, health officials said in New Delhi.
"Gopichand, who had tested positive for dengue, was also suffering from cirrhosis, while Rajani was brought in with Dengue Shock Syndrome," RML Medical Superintendent NK Chaturvedi said.
The Capital registered 88 fresh cases of dengue in the last 24 hours ending 11:00 am, taking the total number of cases to 1,908.
AIIMS alone admitted 36 patients of the mosquito-borne disease, taking the number of cases in the hospital to 185. Another 150 patients are kept under observation.
