Two fifteen-year-olds Deepketan Advaryu and Vishwajeet Barsingh drowned in the Maswan dam while they were out with three other friends.

The five boys had lied to their parents that they were going to play cricket after attending tuition classes and had gone for a swim to the dam instead.

“I was helpless and just watched my friends drown,” said a terrified Hemant Jai (15), who was part of the group.

Deepketan’s body has been fished out while a search is on for Vishwajeet.

Another 15-year-old, Arun Kholawal, a resident of Shastri Nagar, Dombivli (West), drowned in the Kalyan creek on Sunday when he jumped in to swim. His friends called for help but were unable to save him.

Kholawal had just cleared his SSC exam with 72 per cent.
