Thirty two Bangladeshi nationals have been arrested from a brick kiln on the outskirts of the capital town , police said on Thursday.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided a brick kiln at Champamura last night and arrested the Bangladeshis who came to work as labourers, police sources said.
BSF had apprehended two Bangladeshi nationals on Monday last and handed them over to police and on the basis of the interrogation report police raided the brick field, they said.
Investigations are on to ascertain whether the arrested had any kind of criminal links.
Earlier, an alert was sounded by the state Home department along the entire Indo-Bangla border and BSF was asked to intensify vigil in view of the upcoming Bangladesh elections.
