Thirty-five school children sustained minor injuries after two buses in which they were travelling collided in suburban Jogeshwari in Mumbai on Saturday, police said.
Students from St Xaviers School in Borivali and St Mary's School in Dahisar were returning after visiting a biscuit factory at Vile Parle when the accident occurred.
The driver of one of the buses applied the brakes after a signal turned red on the western express highway and the bus behind rammed into it.
Children in both buses were injured due to the collision and rushed to a private hospital in Borivali.
All the injured students were discharged after preliminary medical help and are doing fine, police said.
