A 38-year-old man was murdered for trying to intervene in a dispute between the hotel manager and customers at a hotel in Badlapur.
Investigating officer, inspector Avinash Mokashi, said Sumant Raut was enjoying a drink at Kokan Kinara Hotel on Ambernath-Badlapur Road around 12 am when Sumedh Karandikar, 24, Ketan Shinde, 22, and Anil Banote, 23, arrived at the hotel for food and drinks.
When the hotel manager turned them away saying it was past closing time, the three got into a heated argument with the manager.
