Four suspected Maoists were held with a huge cachet of explosives, including two powerful landmines, from Parasnath forest of extremist-hit Giridih district on Tuesday.
The four were arrested during a massive combing operation that began since last Saturday, Superintendent of Police Murarilal Meena said.
Five quintals of gelatin, 50 bundles of codex wire, 25 ammunition and a sack full of detonators were also seized from them, he said.
These explosives were kept hidden in a Syntex water tank, Meena said, adding that the police also recovered huge quantity of naxal literature and uniform from the spot.
