Five persons have been arrested, including a former Nashik Municipal Corporator, in connection with the murder of NCP activist Subhash Satpute, police said on Saturday.
Five persons, including former NMC corporator Ambadas Tajanpure, were arrested on Friday night, they said.
The incident took place on December 2 due to an old enmity between the Shiv Sena corporator Bharati Tajanpure and NCP's defeated candidate Sushila Satpute in which three persons of the Satpute family were injured, they said.
Subhash Satpute, who was seriously injured in the attack, died on the way to the hospital.
NCP took to the streets on Friday and also staged a road-blockade demanding immediate arrest of Ambadas Tajanpure and four others.
