About 50 golf carts were gutted in a fire that broke out in a cart barn at a golf course in Gurgaon on Thursday late night.
However, no casualty was reported in the incident that was doused by about eight fire tenders in a couple of hours exercise. Short circuit in the power cables was told to be the cause behind the fire.
These damaged vehicles were battery-driven carts used by the golfers and cadies for going around the golf ground.
The incident occurred at around 10.45pm at the DLF Golf Course on Sector 56 road. According to fire department officials, the carts were parked in a barn and eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot. Fire servicemen took around two hours to douse the fire.
