In a major reshuffle of the middle-level IPS officers in the state, as many as 56 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) and Superintendents of Police (SPs) have been transferred.

In a major reshuffle of the middle-level IPS officers in the state, as many as 56 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) and Superintendents of Police (SPs) have been transferred.

Pradeep Sawant, who was waiting for posting after he was cleared from the Telgi case and reinstated, has been posted with the Anti-Terrorism Squad as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP).

DCP, Operations, Amar Jadhav has been shifted to the Crime Branch and posted as DCP, Detection I. Nisar Tamboli, posted as DCP, Zone VIII, has been transferred as DCP, Detection.

DCP, Zone X, KMM Prasanna has been shifted from his present posting but is still to be allotted a post. Brijesh Singh, who had earlier served as DCP Zone I in Mumbai, has been brought to Tamboli’s place as DCP, Zone VIII.

P P Mutiyal has been transferred as DCP, Zone X, while Kaisar Khalid will be posted as DCP, Railway. A M Bhite has been transferred as DCP, Traffic, a post held by Harish Baijal earlier. S M Mahavarkar will head the Headquarters II as the DCP while S R Paraskar has been transferred as DCP, Anti-Narcotics Cell.
