Over 60,000 children in Haryana still do not go to schools.

Disclosing the figure, Chief Secretary Prem Prashant said Wednesday that many children were not attending schools though 40,000 students in the 6-14 age group were enrolled in 2006-07.

The state has over four million students in nearly 20,000 government and private schools at the primary, middle and secondary levels.
