The special MCOCA court in Mumbai extended the police custody of Mohammed Sadiq Sheikh, alleged operative of terror outfit Indian Mujahideen, till March 13 in connection with the serial train blasts in Mumbai on July 11, 2006.

Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) on Friday sought extension of his custody for further interrogation. He is in custody of the ATS since February 21.

Sadiq and 20 others were arrested last year by the Mumbai Crime Branch for allegedly carrying out blasts in several parts of the country since 2005.
