A speeding bus lost control and overturned on Saturday on a main road in a remote town in southern Pakistan, killing nine passengers and injuring 36 others, police said.
The accident happened near Larkana, about 450 kms east of Karachi, and an area police chief, Nadeem Khoso, said the dead and injured had been transported to a government hospital.
Khoso gave no further details, and only said officers were still investigating.
Road accidents are common in Pakistan, where traffic rules are frequently disregarded and public transport drivers often work long hours.
Karachi, the largest city of Pakistan, is the capital of Sindh province.
