Land masses and national boundaries are handicapping the growth of our developing human consciousness. But it is the clarification of the individual's mind and spirit that ought precede the awakening of our social institutions such as places of worship and seats of governance. It is the spiritual and intellectual beings who can infuse others with their illumining light.
There is someone who wishes you to be in delight and joy. If you can be in joy — not the outer joy of going here and there, buying material things, socialising — but real joy and inner fulfilment, then you can spontaneously repose faith in Him.
When we are worried or are frightened of something, we at once try to create a kind of self-imposed faith in Him. This is not real faith. Both joy and fulfilment are inside a person. But who is the source of inner fulfilment? It is Him. B B Borkar has this to say: "O, they have realised the richness of life, whose egoism has like the ripened fruit dropped; who have found the eternal Brahmn at home without any effort; it is they who enjoy life, they are in love with life."
A set of spiritual experiences are not necessary to realise Him. There can be many roads leading to Him.
Different experiences in spiritual realm give you additional confidence. They encourage you and energise you to advance farther. They also give tremendous delight and aura. And while you are having the experiences you may feel presence of an invisible guide within your being pushing you towards the light of soul consciousness.
The law of karma prevails and yet can be transcended by realisation, oneness with Him and the power of spirituality. Says Swami Yogananda: "You must not let your life run in the ordinary way; do something that nobody else has done, something that will dazzle the world."
