Rita Gulati, manager, Shahnaz Hussain salon, says: “Legs fall last on the priority list of the majority of women. Girls think waxing their legs is all they should go in for.” Gulati suggests doing some calf muscle exercises on a regular basis and going for long walks in order to tone and get shapely legs.
One should always keep legs moisturised and apply sunscreen, if legs are exposed to the sun. “Always apply oil on legs before taking a shower and massage legs twice a week,” suggests Gulati.
For scarred legs, Dr Seema Malik, MD, Eleganza Rejuvenation Clinic, suggests applying lightning or fairness creams.
Kalpana Verma of Lakme Beauty salon says, “One should bleach legs, if tanned.”
Scrub your legs, especially knees, once in two weeks to keep them cleansed and smooth at all times. One can apply foundation matching one’s skin tone when going out for a party.
There are home remedies, too. “Lemon juice or tomato pulp if applied on legs reduces tan,” says Kalpana. So, this summer let people wonder whether your face is more gorgeous or your legs.
