Shah Rukh Khan can breathe easy for sometime for his arch rival Aamir Khan is reportedly taking an year-long sabbatical from films.

After the spectacular success of Ghajini, it's time to recharge the cells for Aamir Khan.

The actor's much-needed break will reportedly start after he completes Raj Kumar Hirani's 3 Idiots.

According to a source, Aamir was planning to take a sabbatical last year after his directorial venture Taare Zameen Par wrapped up, but then Ghajini came into scene and he got busy with the intense work-out for the film.

The process of building eight-pack abs has exhausted the actor and now he is ready to take a year long break, added the source.

Aamir is planning to travel, read scripts, watch films and spend time with his children in the break. His production house, Aamir Khan Productions however will continue to function. Abhinay Deo's Delhi Belly and Kiran Rao's Dhobi Ghat will proceed as per schedule.
