Exuding confidence of forming a government in Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday declared to hold a special session of the assembly at the Ramlila Maidan on December 29 to pass the Jan Lokpal Bill after winning the elections.

Delhi will go to polls on December 4, and the results will be declared on December 8.

“We consider December 29 as a black day because it was the same day when (RJD MP) Rajneeti Prasad had torn up the Lokpal Bill when it was being discussed in the Parliament two years ago,” Kejriwal told a media conference.

This, he said, would happen when his party rides to power in Delhi when election results are declared on December 8.

Calling the Congress and the BJP as two sides of the same coin, Kejriwal said his party was confident that AAP’s win will prove that it is the second party in Delhi and BJP and Congress are one entity.

Kejriwal and anti-corruption activist Anna Hazare had taken the country by storm, demanding the Jan Lokpal Bill in 2011 and 2012, before they spilt and Kejriwal’s group formed a political outfit -- AAP.
