AAU V-C lays stress on training

INAUGURATING THE training course in Educational Leadership skills Prof RB Lal, vice-chancellor of the Allahabad Agricultural University, laid emphasis on training in educational leadership skill.

He said, “It is the need of the hour.” 

He added that true leadership meant the capacity to develop the leadership skill of subordinates and colleagues.

The seven-day training course for principals,  vice-presidents and managers of schools is being conducted at the College of Forestry in Allahabad Agricultural Institute University from September 30 to October 6.

The training programme, organised by the All India Council for Christian Educational Institutions (AICCEI) New Delhi, was sponsored by the All-India Association for Christian Higher Education (AIACHE) New Delhi.

The inaugural function for the training was held on Saturday under the chairmanship of Dr Mani Jacob, general secretary, AIACHE and secretary general, AICCEI, who is also the chancellor of Allahabad Agricultural University.

Prof Lal, vice-chancellor, AAI-DU and president, AAICHE was the chief guest at the function.

Prof RB Lal, vice-chancellor, AAI-DU and president, AAICHE was the chief guest.

He also said that even the non-Christians were willing to give Christian name to their schools to attract the people.

In Allahabad, schools with Christian names have always prospered. He mentioned that he was born in a rural area where there was no transportation facilities or good education at that time.

He urged the principals to work hard to promote primary education in rural areas and highlighted role of the Rural Education Council of AAI-DU to promote primary education in villages.
