Abhay's camaraderie with his Dev D director

Abhay Deol enjoyed every bit of shooting for his forthcoming film Dev D mainly because director Anurag Kashyap was always chilled out on the sets.

Abhay Deol enjoyed every bit of shooting for his forthcoming film Dev D mainly because director Anurag Kashyap was always chilled out on the sets.

"Anurag would just let Abhay be during the shoot. There was no typical actor-director relationship, where the director calls the shots. Anurag would not say anything to Abhay even if he was fiddling with something or playing with a toy. Abhay really liked that and he also liked the fact that Anurag is spontaneous," said a source.

In Dev D, which is a modern take on Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's classic novel Devdas, Abhay plays the lead role. The film is slated for release Feb 6.
