Once again Prime Minister Narendra Modi showed that he will not allow his security detail to become a hindrance in his accessibility to general public or his ministerial colleagues.

At the launch of ‘Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana’ on Thursday at Vigyan Bhawan, a guard from his security detail from the Special Protection Group (SPG) was admonished by the PM.

When PM reached Vigyan Bhawan, finance minister Arun Jaitley, commerce minister Nirmala Sitaraman were there to receive him. But due to a SPG guard, FM Jaitley faced bit inconvenience in receiving the PM with a bouquet. Modi took immediate cognisance of it and told the SPG guard from his close protection team to stay away him.

Modi was seen in the TV footage asking the guard to keep distance. On earlier occasions as well, Modi has told his SPG detail to stay away from him when he is interacting with his ministers or general public.

Modi faces maximum threat from terror outfits and SPG, entrusted with keeping the PM secure, is trying to ensure his safety but Modi, it seems that doesn’t like his security detail's overzealous approach in guarding him.
