Action against officials on people?s complaints

OFFICIATING DISTRICT magistrate Bhavnath Singh took stern action against erring officials during Janta Diwas at Bemra village under Shankargarh development block of Bara tehsil on Wednesday. The officiating DM listened to the grievance of the residents and disposed of complaints on the occasion.

OFFICIATING DISTRICT magistrate Bhavnath Singh took stern action against erring officials during Janta Diwas at  Bemra village under Shankargarh development block of Bara tehsil on Wednesday. The officiating DM listened to the grievance of the residents and disposed of complaints on the occasion.

According to a press release issued by the district information centre, the officiating DM suspended development officer of Bemara village Chandra Shekhar on confirmation of charges against him. Chandra Shekhar was found guilty of issuing Antoydaya and BPL ration cards to 40 ineligible candidates. The officiating DM on a complaint of improper supply of drinking water, directed the engineer, Water Works, to provide him details for installation of supply line in the area.

The officiating DM was also apprised by the villagers about several other problems. According to a complaint, Akhil Bhartiya Khet Mazdoor Sangh regional vice-president Ram Lakhan Tiwari and others restricted a tribal Shyam Lal from filling water from a handpump installed in Sindhuvar village. The officiating DM directed SO Ghoorpur to take appropriate action in the case.

He looked into the complaints of damaged tubewells and irregularity in the mid-day meal scheme in Juhi village. He inspected the newly constructed primary school building, link roads and brick soiling completed recently in the area. The official also inspected the work of digging of ponds in Shankargarh block carried out last year.

He was accompanied by BDO Shankargarh, PDO and several other officials on the occasion. District magistrate Amrit Abhijat will attend to the problems of the Sapera Samuday at Kapari village under Shankargarh block.
