Active for 2 decades, top Hizb commander held in Kashmir
A 40-year-old divisional commander of militant group Hizbul Mujahideen, who was active for the past 19 years, was arrested along with two associates in north Kashmir's Bandipora district on Wednesday. The arrested top commander has been identified as Talib Hussain Lali.

In a pre-dawn operation, a team of security forces threw a cordon around Morgikul village in Ajas town of Bandipora district, 40 north of Srinagar.
"The militants were hiding in a corn field. When challenged, they fired at the security personnel. The intermittent exchange of fire continued till 10.30am," said a senior police officer, who was part of the operation, on the condition of anonymity.
All the three hiding Hizb militants --- top commander Talib Hussain Lali and his associates Abdul Rashid Lali and Showkat Ahmad Mir --- were rounded up finally and taken for questioning by the security forces.
