recently published a wishlist to the railway minister. Here are some additions for the same.

Connect Thane to Borivli by train.

Currently, the road route via Ghodbunder Road takes over an hour. By train, the same can be covered in less than half that time. Also, provide more trains connecting the east and west, like Ghatkopar to Andheri.

Treat the Western Railway (WR) at par with the Central Railway (CR). While WR has already been given five new trains already, CR just got its first. Declare Thane as a junction as trains for Vashi start from Mumbai.

Borivli has five platforms while Thane has 10, and yet all mail trains halt at Borivli, while only 30 per cent halt at Thane.

Moreover, trains headed towards Bandra junction are given an additional halt at Andheri.

One halt to all mail express trains at Thane will benefit all suburban passengers. Going all the way to stations like CST or Kalyan with little children and luggage is very difficult.

A halt at Thane will make life less difficult for many railway passengers.
