YET ANOTHER City teenager is preparing to enter the hall of fame by making a record. Aditi Gupta will stage a non-stop dance performance for 85 hours at Gandhi Hall from 9.00 am on December 20.
Encouraged by her parents Anita and Santosh and Fusion Entertainment, this 16-year-old girl plans to dance to 750 Rajasthani, classical, semi-classical, filmi and Punjabi songs during her marathon performance.
Aditi told reporters here on Sunday said that the performance would be a tiny step towards achieving fame and success. She denied having drawn any inspiration from other youngsters from Indore who have made records in different fields.
Swami Shri Radhakantacharya will be the chief guest and PWD Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya will be the special guest at the programme. Mallika Arvind Singh and Shri Gujarati Samaj Trust Board president Pankaj Sanghvi will also grace the show. The programme will be conducted by Vinit Shukla.
Aditi wishes to open her own dance academy for poor and middle class children and aspires to be a world famous dance teacher. She practices for 12 hours everyday. She has recently done her dancing rehearsal for 85 hours. She said that it took her a month to prepare for the performance. She says, “dancing comes to me naturally and I wish to make a career out of this god-gifted talent”.
She has never received any formal training in dance. Dev Joshi of Fusion Entertainment informed that they have sent an e-mail to the Guinness Book authorities and are waiting for a reply. Joshi said that they consulted a doctor who examined Aditi and allowed her to go ahead with the show.
Aditi will only eat or drink the items recommended by the doctor during the show. Aditi takes dance classes presently at her home in LIG colony. Her mother Anita said that they had to wait for two long years to bring Aditi’s talent before the public due to lack of any sponsor or support.
