Jayant Advani, son of BJP's prime ministerial candidate L K Advani, on Friday launched campaign in Gandhinagar parliamentary constituency, from where the senior leader is seeking re-election for the fifth time.
The former deputy Prime Minister had filed his nomination paper from Gandhinagar constituency on April 8.
Jayant inaugurated BJP's election office in Sabarmati assembly segment, which is part of Gandhinagar parliamentary constituency.
"He inaugurated party's election office in Sabarmati in the morning and will inaugurate offices in Naranpura later in the day," said a senior BJP leader, who is in-charge of party's campaign strategy in the state.
"Jayant will visit all the seven assembly segments, which are part of the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat and meet community leaders for their support," he added.
Not only Jayant, but all the family members of L K Advani including daughter Pratibha and wife Kamla will campaign for him, he said.
Jayant will also oversee the party's campaign in Gandhinagar seat.
Advani's family has handled his campaign in Gandhinagar in all the previous Lok Sabha polls.
