Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) senior leader L K Advani will file his nomination on Wednesday from the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency in Gujarat, a party official said on Monday.
Advani was to file his nomination on Monday afternoon. But he had to defer it as the BJP was celebrating its foundation day on Monday.
The BJP leader had a very busy schedule in New Delhi that forced him to postpone filing his nomination papers, the official said.
Advani is expected to inaugurate the BJP's state-of-art Gandhinagar office when he arrives in Gandhinagar on Wednesday, he said.
The former deputy prime minister is seeking re-election from the Gandhinagar seat for the fifth consecutive time.
