Senior BJP leader L K Advani will visit Andhra Pradesh as part of "Vijaya Sankalp Yatra" next month, party state unit president Bandaru Dattatreya said on Wednesday.
Advani would arrive in Hyderabad for a day's visit on November 6 and address a public meeting at parade grounds in Secunderabad, he told reporters.
With the visit of BJP's prime ministerial candidate, the party would begin preparations for the elections scheduled to be held next year, Dattatreya said.
Without naming the Telegu Desam Party and Telangana Rashtra Samithi, the BJP leader said regional parties cannot achieve separate statehood for Telangana region, but they (regional parties) can extend their cooperation on this issue.
During the recently concluded "Sankalp Yatra" in the state, the party had "convinced" people of Telangana region that BJP alone could realise their demand for statehood, he claimed.
"The people of the state are not happy with the present Reddy government which has totally failed to address the common men and farmers' problems", BJP state president alleged.
