The Wimbledon this season has been a shocker. Federer, Sharapova, Nadal, Azarenka, Serena; all the greats are out. The star studded championship is turning out to be a battle of unseeded and lesser known tennis players.

The many upsets that this tournament has witnessed testify that tennis is not only a game of uncertainty, but also of possibility. “This is what parents need to realise; any one can make it to the top,” says Balram Singh, former coach of Indian Tennis team.

According to Singh, Indian players mature very late as the pressure from their school studies mounts on. “We need to realise the potential of kids
now and encourage them to have fun,” said Singh.
