EXPO AFP PHOTO South Asia – an exhibition of photographers organised jointly by Alliance Francaise de Bhopal and Agence France Presse (AFP) was inaugurated at Alliance Francaise Gallery by Hindustan Times’ Bhopal Bureau Chief Rakesh Dixit on Saturday.

The exhibition, which would continue till November 25, is showcasing collective work of AFP photographers in South Asia and the photographs comprise variety of themes like News, Sports, Entertainment and Politics.

AFP – the world’s oldest established news agency founded in 1835 by Charles Louis Havas, has more than 200 staff photographers and network of stringers across the world. The collection of photographs offers a small but powerful window into the recent past of South Asia – from Afghanistan to Sri Lanka, Bangladesh to the Maldives.

A wide array of photographs both in black & white and colour at the exhibition would be a worth watching experience for the citizens.
