Agarwal and Jagdale schools register easy win

AGARWAL SCHOOL and Jagdale School on Tuesday advanced to the second round of the Christian Eminent Trophy interschool U-19 cricket tournament being played at Tulsi Nagar ground.

In the first match APS beat Imperial Academy by four wickets. Batting first, Imperial School scored 111 runs. Arun Rena scored 28 runs and Boni Kakwani scored 22. Ankit Patel and Azaruddin captured three and two wickets each. In reply, APS surpassed the required runs in 16 overs losing six wickets. Swami Ekdi scored 28 to help his team win the match by four wickets.

In the second match, Jagdale School beat New Era School by 56 runs. Jagdale School won the toss and batted first. In the allotted overs, they scored 143/6. Deepak Khede scored 32 and Nikhil scored 25. Chouhan and Vinay took three and two wickets respectively.

In reply, New Era School managed to score just 87 and lost the match by 56 runs. Yogesh Silawat bowled brilliantly to capture four wickets while Sunil took two wickets.

Earlier, former Ranji player Karan Singh Shekhawat inaugurated the tournament while Yogesh Jagdale presided over the function.

Body Care Gym member excels
YOGESH RATHORE of the Body Care Gymnasium won the second position in the district-level bodybuilding competition organised by the Indore Bodybuilding Association. Yogesh won the second position in the of 70-75-kg weight category. 

SVN student in State team
SARANSH JAIN of Sarafa Vidya Niektan has been selected in the Madhya Pradesh U-15 cricket team. The school management has congratulated Saransh Jain on his selection to the state team.
