Asom Gana Parishad's Central Working Committee held a meeting to discuss the startegy for the forthcoming by-elections to two assembly constituencies of Assam on November seven.

Party president Chandramohan Patowary chaired the meeting where it was also decided to launch an agitation from tomorrow to protest against price rise.

Patowary said the party has decided to march to the state secretariat tomorrow to protest against rising prices.

The meeting also chalked out the strategy for the forthcoming assembly bypolls to Dhekiajuli constituency where the party is contesting and South Salmara where it is supporting the BJP candidate.

The meeting also discussed the prevailing law and order situation in the state.

The meeting was also attended by former Chief Minister Prafulla Kumar Mahanta.
