THE FOURTH four-day Association of Indian Management Scholars (AIMS) International, Houston (USA) conference on ‘managing global organisations: challenges, opportunities and strategies’ will begin at Indian Institute of Management, Indore (IIM-I) from Thursday. Business Solutions group founder and CEO Chandresh Kumar will inaugurate the conference.
Conference co-chair Professor Prithvi Yadav from IIM-I said that the other co-chair would be Prof Omprakash Gupta from Prairie View University, USA. More than 270 research papers from India and 44 from abroad have been received. Besides theme papers on accounting, marketing, finance, human resource management, operations, economics and entrepreneurship will be presented. Nearly 185 delegates from 15 countries are expected to attend the conference.
There will be two plenary sessions of keynote lectures on the latest developments in the field of global management by Prof Candace Deans, University of Richmond, Prof Kala Seal, Loyola Marymount University, UK, Prof Bhuvan Unhelkar, University of Western Sydney and others. The conference will have nine technical sessions, having four parallel tracks with five papers in each track. A total of 174 technical research papers will be presented during the 36 technical sessions.
Sixteen doctoral students will present their theses findings in the final session where a competition will be held for them. Three best doctoral students will be given cash prizes and merit certificates
