UAE's low-cost carrier Air Arabia will launch non-stop service between Sharjah and New Delhi from Monday.
There will be daily flights to New Delhi, which is the carrier's 11th destination in India.
"The launch of service today demonstrates our commitment to the Indian market," said AK Nizar, Head of Commercial Department, Air Arabia.
"This is our 11th destination in India, making us the leading Middle East-based carrier to serve India and the wider South Asia region. Our comprehensive Indian destination network now includes the country's leading financial, tourist and government centres," Nizar said.
"Combined with our network stretching across the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia, we are the leading airline linking these vibrant regions' economies and peoples."
Flights will depart from Sharjah at 09:55 am and arrive at New Delhi at 14:30 pm. Return flights will depart from New Delhi at 15:15 pm and arrive in Sharjah at 17:00 pm.
"Since introducing the low-cost carrier concept to the Middle East and North Africa in October 2003, we have firmly established a leadership role in these markets," Nizar added.
"By continuing to provide regional travellers with the broadest destination choices at the most competitive fares, Air Arabia demonstrates its commitment to making air travel accessible to everyone. The launch of service to New Delhi is in line with that vision."
In addition to New Delhi, Air Arabia also offers services to the Indian cities of Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Jaipur, Kochi, Kozhikode, Mumbai, Nagpur and Thiruvananthapuram.
