Indigo airline co-pilot Arjun Menon has been discharged from the case of abetting suicide of his airhostess girlfriend, Sucheta Anand.
A sessions court on Wednesday discharged Menon, accepting his contention that arguments are common in a relationship.
Menon, in his application before the court, had said that he had sent Anand several messages with the intention to patch up after the tiff on the day of the incident.
The co-pilot was arrested on June 12 last year, five days after Anand hanged herself at Hotel Palm Grove in Santacruz following a tiff between the two.
The sessions court had granted Menon bail on June 26 last year on a surety of Rs 25,000.
Menon’s family had maintained from the beginning that he had nothing to do with the suicide of the airhostess and alleged that the police had falsely implicated the IndiGo co-pilot.
