IN A bid to make mobile telephony more affordable for first-time users, the Bharti Airtel Ltd in Indore on Friday announced ‘festive handset bundle offer’. The latest offering from Airtel comes in partnership with Motorola and LG for providing colour handsets with Airtel prepaid connection at a very nominal cost.
Talking to media persons, Bharti Airtel Ltd COO (mobile services) for MP and Chhattisgarh, Sunil K Goyal said, “We have added 10 lakh new consumers in the last three months and grown by 25.8 per cent since closing in June”. Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh market is the fastest growing mobile market in India, he said. Airtel now covers 311 cities and 6,000 villages in the two states.
The Airtel handset offer is available on Motorola C-118 and C-139 and LG KG-110 models. Airtel customers can buy Motorola C-118 for just Rs 1499 with a one-year validity and free talk time worth Rs 1499. The Motorola colour handset C-139 comes at Rs 1,999 with a validity of two years and free talk time of 1,999 minutes. Customers can also buy the LG colour handset KG-110 at a price of Rs 2,399 and enjoy free incoming facility for two years and free talk time worth Rs 2,399.
LG Zonal Manager Anand Singh said KG-110 handset contains latest features like phone book of 1500 memory, Internet surfing facility and excellent battery backup. In Motorola C-139, the customers get a battery life of up to 700 minutes. A R Rehman’s popular Airtel tune is also a part of the tune option in these handsets.
