ALL EYES are set on the Raj Bhawan for its next move on the issue of relieving additional legal advisor PK Dubey in the backdrop of Supreme Court’s orders over the issue of standoff between the Raj Bhawan and the Allahabad High Court.
According to sources, the Raj Bhawan is yet to relieve Dubey who faces departmental inquiry by a sitting judge of the Allahabad High Court and has been placed under suspension for violating his transfer orders. Raj Bhawan is examining the Supreme Court orders given on Wednesday.
As Governor TV Rajeswar is back in Raj Bhawan (from New Delhi) he may make the next move over the issue in the next few days.
The governor is obviously awaiting an official communication from Union Home secretary VK Duggal who had filed the Special Leave Petition (SLP) before the Supreme Court. As relieving Dubey would create a void on the post of the Governor’s legal advisor the Raj Bhawan may consider getting in touch with the High Court to sort out the issue.
The Raj Bhawan has already apprised the Centre with the unfolding developments on the issue.
Dubey has not been seen in the Raj Bhawan and his office has remained locked in the past two days.
As Dubey too has been left with no option but to report at Ballia (where he has been transferred) he is also weighing various options.
