Nagpur from Pune

The Pune Municipal Corporation on Tuesday ordered the closure of all the multiplexes in the city. According to reports, the corporation has also directed all the educational institutions to remain shut for the remaining period of this week.

Pune is trying to check spread of the swine flu disease as maximum number of deaths in India due to swine flu has taken place in this city.

A worrying fact for Pune is that the city has become the chief exporter of the virus to other places in the country.

There have been other cases like that of software professional Mukesh Dangre (26), his wife, Suvarna Dangre (23) and student Lokesh Rajurkar (20).

They returned to Nagpur from Pune and during the last week tested positive.

Rupesh Deshpande, a virologist, feels that “some cases, that came up at other places must have travel history to Pune”.
