Heavens will not fall if the Congress does not form the government after the Lok Sabha polls and the option of sitting in the opposition is always open for any political party, senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh has said.

"All options are open," he told Karan Thapar in CNN- IBN's 'Devil's Advocate' programme.

Singh, a Congress General Secretary and former Madhya Pradesh chief minister, was replying to a question whether his party will look for fresh allies if it fails to cross the 150 mark and the UPA is unable to get more than 200 seats after May 16, the day of counting of votes.

Asked if sitting in the opposition is an option for the Congress, Singh said, "Absolutely yes".
