ALLAHABAD UNIVERSITY (AU), which is busy working on providing a new look to the 'Kala Kumbh' — the four-day cultural extravaganza all set to kick off on December 20 — has also come up with a new logo for the event that has its own message for the visiting artistes from all over the country.
"The logo is a symbol of Triveni has the whole meaning of art and culture represented in it," said convenor of the Kala Kumbh and secretary of AU Deligacy.
He said that that the fish shown in the logo is representing the Ganga while the tortoise represents the Yamuna.
The Veena, prominently displayed on the logo, depicts mythological Saraswati and this together the symbols stand for Triveni that makes Sangam and Allahabad very special," he added.
Dr Jaitley says the logo basically has three primary colours through which the passage and speed of time has been shown. "The boats found on the edges represent life in all its glory," he added.
He said that the logo on the whole depicts the creative talent and skill of man.
"The aim of the logo is to convey to the people that many decorations are inspired from the folk arts and the Kala Kumbh will encompass all this beauty for the common man and the art lovers," he added.
